As part of the CLC's commitment to bring innovation and excellence to the curriculum we offer our children and young people many different master classes, both during and after school and also at the weekend.

These master classes aim to enrich and extend the learning accomplished in school and cover a wide range of challenging and interesting task to get young people exploring and expanding their own abilities.

We offer a range of different opportunities from Digital English to Thinking Skills that complement the learning in the classroom and add a little fun and innovation into the mix.

Digital Media

Digital Media

This master class will introduce children and young people to all aspects of creative digital media.

They will have the opportunity to create animated films, live action films, use the CLC TV studio and have ago at digital photography.

participants will use state of the art digital cameras and video cameras and use Apple Mac technology as well as PC technology

Digital English

This master class is an opportunity to explore journalism, script writing, poetry, short story writing and anything using words.

Microsoft IC3 Qualification

Students will work towards a formal Microsoft qualification that is recognised internationally.

Students will work towards the different units including Word Processing, Presentations and more.

Our challenge is to have the youngest student in the UK to pass all the units!

Art

Art Masterclasses

This master class will encourage creativity using all mediums of art including painting, drawing and sculpture.

Students will work on a variety of creative are techniques to produce a number of pieces of work

Thinking Skills

Thinking Skills

Challenging and creative activities from kite making to bridge building, from origami to making igloos.

Who knows what they will be doing next .... but it will be fun.

Maths in Motion

In the spring term students will be invited to take part in the Maths in Motion challenge.

Using computer software to design state of the art racing cars the teams will compete on grand prix tracks to find the fastest vehicle in virtual races.
